Dahlonegah’s 5th -8th grade students enjoyed Shakespeare today! The Oklahoma Theater Company performed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The Oklahoma Theater Company is based out of Oklahoma City and are working on a grant funded program to bring Shakespeare to rural schools free of charge! They did an excellent job condensing the play and performing, and the language was easily understood even for those unfamiliar to Shakespeare. I am thankful for the opportunity to provide our students with this experience. Thank you to the cast. You did an excellent job. We enjoyed the performance!
Tyson Foods has a hatchery in Stilwell where 90 percent of employees are Cherokee and wanted to give back to our community, as well as three other sites with hatcheries.
On Monday, Nov. 21 from 10 am to 2 pm a Tyson truck will be at Edna Carson park for a drive through event to hand out this protein pack to families on a first come, first served basis, and while supplies last.
Cherokee Nation officials, Deputy Chief Bryan Warner, Council of the Cherokee Nation Shawn Crittenden and Joshua Sam will also be on hand to help Tyson leaders at the drive through event.

Dahlonegah Student Council members are collecting can-food and other non-perishable food items for our local food pantries. If you would like to help, please send your donations to school by Friday, November 18, 2022. We are proud of our students for wanting to help others in need. Happy Veteran's Day from Dahlonegah School. This program was just a small token of appreciation from our student body in acknowledgement of your service. We know that you deserve so much more, and we can never say thank you enough. We appreciate your service.
Dahlonegah teachers and staff have joined together to sponsor an 8th grade student. Each month these students will be gifted with treats and notes of encouragement to let them know how special they are to us. We hope they know how much we care! Thank you to all who participate. We appreciate all that you do for our students.

Dahlonegah School would like to invite you to our Veterans Day Program. The program will begin at 10:30am in the auditorium. Veterans and their guest are invited to join us for lunch in the cafeteria directly after the program.

Announcements
Dahlonegah Harvest Carnival will take place tomorrow November 5th. Doors open at 9:00 - 1:00. Many games, raffle, prizes, activities, Indian Taco Sale, auctions and more! All proceeds go to student Christmas fund! Enjoy a day of festivities at Dahlonegah!
