Meet the Dean of Students

My name is Shawnita Armstrong and I am the Dean of Students this year. Many of you know my family; my husband of 23 years, Obie, and sons Jake and Jesse. I graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I later became certified in Early Childhood, and I am currently completing my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I just completed my tenth year of teaching at Dahlonegah school. During my time here I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6-8th grade Reading, Language Arts, and Science. Dahlonegah is a wonderful school with amazing students, teachers, and staff. This is my community and I am dedicated to serving our students and families to the best of my ability. I am excited to begin this journey with each of you.
